It's been a long time coming, but former railways minister Liu Zhijun has been expelled from the CPC reports the Associated Press.
One big bundle of corruption, he's been bribing it up for a while now, with his actions resulting in great economic losses and severe corruption in the railways system. His improper management is also largely to blame for the high-speed train collision last July.
Good riddance. That's taken far too long.
Of course there's no downtime when corruption calls. Right on his heels is Hu Jun, former top official with the Shanghai Planning, Land and Resources Admin Bureau. According to the Shanghai Daily, he's being charged for bribery. While Jun isn't on his way out yet, looks like he's next in line to be kicked to the curb....or worse.
